I am not local. I've spent the last couple months traveling around, riding trails and visiting the local shops that support them. This was by far the best shop I've seen.

I ended up buying a set of pedals, and had them bleed my brakes. The brakes now work better than they ever have. (I had really neglected them.) Thanks guys.

And at the end of the day, that's what it's all about. Most of us serious bikers have no problem paying full retail for an in stock item, but if we're going to be treated no differently than we would at Walmart, than why not just shop online?

I guess the whole experience was pleasing because it's the first place I went to that was missing that obligatory “business” guy. Seems like most shops have one, usually the owner. Like a toned down version of the gum chewing, used car shark. The one that rushes the sale and doesn't really make you feel special and welcome.

The building was perfect: rustic and cozy. I also liked the brands they carry. Santa Cruz and Rocky Mountain are great bikes. Giro and Bell are great shoes and lids and it was refreshing to see a bike shop selling Shimano and Pearl. I know shops aren't happy with the way the brand does business, but at the end of the day you can't just drop Shimano. I couldn't put it any better than the way the owner did. He said simply, “I carry Shimano because their stuff just works.” Thank you. I shouldn't be made to feel like a pariah because my Ibis came with a Shimano group set.

Bike shops! Stop by this place to see how a 21st century bike shop should be run!

Bought my first bike here after shopping around a lot. Best service, most helpful staff, and best deals on bikes in Boone, bar none. Great experience!

Good prixes. Helpful and knowledgable staff. Great bikes and an amazing selection of many types of cycling products

It's rare to find a bike shop with a staff as knowledgeable as the guys at Magic. When the salespeople make bike and accessory recommendations it's clear that they are speaking from actual experience using the products in which they sell. As a customer I can always expect to receive advice that cannot be obtained from researching product information online or at other shops. What better place is there to buy mtb tires from than a shop with a xc national champion on the sales floor?

Great service with friendly & trustworthy staff. Came in thinking I needed a new chain on my bike when all it needed was some oil. Will definitely be back again!
