Stopped in there a while back. There was this rude little salesman who asked me what my major was. He proceeded to tell me what he liked in school and how easy history had been for him in high school. All he did was "listen to music" during class. I'm guessing he was fishing for a complement? Would not buy anything from them after seeing their bargain room furniture.
Thank you all can't remember all the names of the store personnel who assisted us...Kenny our sales person, and a gentlemen behind he desk the 2nd time when we went back to store. You guys ROCK!!!
We had no plans to buy the day we walk into the Badcock store...their selections were awesome and the prices were pretty good. We purchased a couch & loveseat.
To start, we went in and bought 6K in furniture and paid cash for it, scheduled our delivery and all was good on that end. The sales guy "Skip" was actually a great guy. A few days later the delivery driver shows up to deliver the furniture and our driveway was icy due to a winter storm that had recently come through. The driver made a very weak attempt to get up the driveway but was not able. We offered to go get a secondary truck to off load the furniture on and if they could help bring it in off that truck once we had done so. At this point, my elderly mother asked the driver if they could not just carry it up the hill and the driver angrily responded "Why don't you see if you can get your fat ass up that hill." Needless to say, things escalated at that point with the driver cursing at us, dropping expletives in front of an 8 year old child, and ultimately sticking his middle finger up in my elderly mother's face and driving off. Next, we called the manager at the store demanding our money back; however, he refused to do so. We got the corporate office involved and they did refund the money and we did get a formal apology from the corporate office and ultimately the manager of the store did apologize as well; but in the end, these people were abusive and on the verge of violent to an elderly woman, and used extremely foul language in front of a young child.
It was delivered today and we are extremely satisfied!!! The delivery guys (Todd & Tony) were professional and extremely careful placing furniture on our wood floors.
Horrible please do not go to Badcock Home Furniture in Boone, NC: The delivery person from here is abusive and potentially dangerous.
We bought a bedroom set a few months back and had a great experience. Tim was our salesperson and the whole deal went smoothly. One of the pieces was damaged and we didn't discover it until after the delivery guys had left and they took care of it, providing a replacement dresser with no hassle. One of the delivery guys even came back out after his work day ended to hand deliver a little piece that was missing from one of the lamps. Great experience at the Boone NC store.
Received living room furniture today. Great guys and very careful. Had furniture set up within an hour. Staff at store was excellent when we purchased. Went in to just look around and ended up buying the set right then. Highly recommend.
