This place is stunning. A short drive up a steep part of the mountain, leads you to a small, but kind of private, viewing area. Howard's Knob was amazing because not only can you look down on the entire city of Boone, but into the distance of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I hear it's also a great place to view all the fireworks on the 4th of July

Great local park. I only wish it were open more and that people trimmed a little more around the look out areas but all in all it is well maintained and just a short drive from downtown Boone!
