Owner had reconsidered and had lowered the price. We quickly went to the unit for another look. Matt completed a listing of comparable units that had sold over the past year and we were able to submit and offer later that day. If you are looking for a real estate agent that is knowledgeable of the Boone and Blowing Rock area, and has your interests at heart, then look no further than Bob de Camara with Boone Real Estate. My wife and I found Bob via the internet to help us look for a mountain home in the Boone area. We had little knowledge of the area but was looking for a cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains as a summer get-a-way. Bob has lived in the area for over 20 yrs and knows his way around and the market. When we would look at homes, Bob would spend time checking out the basement for mold/mildew issues, examine the substructure for cracks and damage, look at floors for signs of buckling, check out windows and door frames for signs of seal leaks and/or water damage, etc. In addition, since he has worked as a real estate agent there for over 20 yrs, he knows subdivisions history with respect to potential problems that you might incur if you bought in that area. Matt was very responsive in identifying units that might fit out desires. He was prompt in preparing a list of units that we might want to consider and gave us a web site that we could use to take an initial rack and stack of the units that were being offered.
Matt also helped us find an up graded unit on Sugar Mountain. This experience was much like the first. The unit we purchased was under the selling price for comparable unit in the Reserve.
