Not much of a selection
The lady at the desk didn't give me all of my bags and I guess she sat my other bag down behind the counter and I drove all the way home which I live in Ashe County before I even noticed!!! I am very disappointed and upset that I have to drive all the way back there which takes over an hour just to get about 7.00 worth of stuff I bought!!!!!
They have gotten better. Nice clean and new donations. Cashier very nice. Smell good.
Bless the work they do
Very disappointed in what happened to me yesterday and today at this place!! I was at this storen (I am there often) as a nice sofa (appeared to be leather) along with a matching easy chair and ottoman were coming off the truck. The manager of the store was supervising the unloading. I asked to purchase the items on the spot and asked for a price. Her reply,"Oh, we won't know the price til after the store closes today". (This was around 3:40 in the afternoon). I said OK, when will you know the price? Come back tomorrow was the reply. I proceed to the check out desk at the front and asked Linda if I could leave my number or call back tomorrow to see what the price was. She said, "No, we can't do that and I will not be here tomorrow.". So I said, "Then I need to be here when you open tomorrow, right"? She said yes, that this was the only way to find out. I thought this a LITTLE odd but accepted for face value. (I am from the old school and assume people are telling the truth) Went back today and waited at the door til they opened, thinking I would get a chance to purchase the pieces if priced right. TO MY SURPRISE, THE DARN THING WAS MARKED SOLD!! Sold at 5 PM on May 25th, less than 2 hours after I tried to purchase. And not only that, LINDA was at the desk.... Her explanantion was, "Oh, guess I got my work schedule mixed up"! YEY, RIGHT. My dear husband, being the skeptic he is,has always told me that I was wasting my time visiting these places.. He said, "Anything of value never hits the floor. It is sold UNDER THE TABLE". Guess he was right all along. You know the really the sad thing? The love seat sold for 59.99 and I was prepared yesterday to pay 150.00 on the spot!! I am filing an official complain with THE SALVATION ARMY NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS! Poor employees are probably paid so little they have the have some rackett going on!! Wonder why you would sell a piece for 59.99 that you could have sold for 150.00 the day before? Seem a little odd to you? Not about NOT GETTING the merchandise.. It is about being LIED TOO BY TWO EMPLOYEES !
