Price was great for a week even when offered the trade up.
Previously I had a great experience with this location so I was very surprised at my interaction today. I contacted Hertz this am about renting a car. I spoke to the agent who told me that he should have several cars in later and would call me when I could come pick mine up. As the day passed I awaited his call. Shortly before their closing(4 PM) I called the office and was switched to the Hickory office. I was told that the agent was at lunch but would be back in touch. I waited another 30 minutes and then called back. The call was again routed to Hickory and I was reassured that the Boone agent was waiting on cars and would contact me. I mentioned that the Boone office was technically closed but was told that I would here back from someone very soon. Well, I never did. Had I known that Hertz would not come through I would have contacted Enterprise. As I depart very early tomorrow it is not an option to get a car in the am. Thankfully I was not dependent on this rental for my trip and had an alternative plan. I was very disappointed at the luck of follow through and felt like it was bad business.
Insurance paid for this loaner car until our car was repaired. The only minor blemish was that when they cleaned the car they left bugs all over the front bumper and on a white vehicle that is otherwise very clean it stood out more. Everything else was excellent.
The person working was awesome, the price on a new clean, car to rent is the BEST in this town.
