Cannot get a return phone call for something as simple as a prescription refill. Leaving a voicemail is a dead-end. Even went to the medical office and sat in lobby to try to get prescription refilled and nurse didn't come out within 30 minutes, so I left.
I've seen Jerica Smith in this office for several years and she is fantastic. I never feel rushed or dismissed like I have at other doctors' offices and she's very knowledgeable. She's also thoughtful about costs and insurance coverage. I can't say enough good things about her! Her nurse is also very good about returning calls and coordinating care.
Another month has gone by without a call back from Appalachian. I give up and will return to my family physician for referral to a different and, hopefully, competent specialist.
Dr. Wolfe is excellent, but it takes forever to get an appointment. I tried to schedule an appointment in December 2016, but the next available time was in May 2017. There was a 3-week wait recently just to see a physician's assistant.
A month went by and I never heard back from Appalachian so I called and was eventually forwarded to a nurse who found my record. I was again told that I needed the sleep test and they would contact me for scheduling.
I was referred to Appalachian Internal for a pulmonary exam by my family physician. The nurse at Appalachian said the exam indicated low blood oxygen and they needed to do a sleep test. She told me they would contact me to schedule a future appointment to set that up.
Never get a call back from the doctors nurses. Last year when I had a test done they lost the test. Today I came in and waited for over 30 minutes. Nurse stating I was not listed for an appointment even though the receptionist checked me in. Love the doctors just don't understand what is going on with the staff
