BRAVO DR. KRONTZ AND ALL OF THE HOSPITAL TEAM!
Dr. Krontz is funny and personable in demeanor and swiftly quelled my fears of cataract surgery. The procedure went smoothly and perfectly and I have praised him to the skies to my friends. Last week, he performed bilateral blepharoplasty and I was impressed when he explained that the underlying problem was something he could not fix and referred me to another surgeon, then agreed to work with that surgeon after the other problem was resolved. He is obviously competent and confident. Although he has performed hundreds of these procedures, he is aware that I have not, and has taken time to explain everything and answer any and all questions or concerns I might have. I would have given him all 5 stars, but 5 stars indicates "loved it" and who LOVES surgery, really?
over in less than a minute, it seemed!
I DID IT AGAIN… well, that is in concert with Dr. Krontz, the local hospital's doctors, nurses, "just worker bees",and staff who prepared me for Dr. Krontz's magic trick. The other time for my left eye, I was asleep and did not witness the event. This time with my right eye it was like being in a SCIFI movie where there was the sensation of being humanly transformed as I lay on my platform table in a hospital operating room. Of course I felt all of the nurse's who sterilized around my eye and those who seem to constantly place drops of magic in my eyes. This time I even sensed Dr. Krontz' coming in to my bedside with his sharp tools for the transformation from a man with a cloudy like lens to a man with a new see through lens. I sensed a very bright light when the program got underway, then a foggy sensation transitioning into a bright light again that changed into a mild euphoric cloud that was sort of like dust settling. I even, ever so briefly, felt the cutting sensation when my eyeball was pierced for the removal of the old lens and the installation of the new. It was
Dr. Krontz performed a "minor procedure" on my left eye, was extremely rough, and left me with a severe corneal ulcer. He didn't seem to know how to treat the corneal ulcer, did NOT refer me to a corneal specialist, and seemed very hostile to me! Finally, I referred myself to a corneal specialist. When the specialist first looked at my eye, he said, "My God, what happened to you!?" He had to stitch my eye closed for 4 months to treat the corneal ulcer. Result:
I am legally blind in my left eye and glasses can only improve my vision to a moderate degree. STAY AWAY FROM DR. KRONTZ. I sure wish that I had!!
Very pleased with high level of care given by Dr. Krontz and his staff. Work performed includes skin cancer surgery located at eye lid and cararact surgery.
