All lowes are not the same thanks to all the people in flooring at the north hickory lowes you guys are awesome going above and beyond! Now I needed more tile to finish a job got online and lows in no one has it in stock. Goto no one and the tile cost more and the manager says they can't price match hickory store which I know is b.s. he was rude very short with me and no customer service. It simply amazing how different two stores owned by the same company can be so different. It costed Lowe's a customer I will never go back and would not recommend no one Lowe's to anyone simply save yourself time and diginity and goto HOME DEPOT might pay a little more but you get treated like a human not dog poop on someone's
Cashier never said hello never said thank you and never offered to bag my merchandise until I picked it up and was heading out the door .. I know it's Sunday afternoon but you should at least acknowledge and thank the customer
If there was less than 1 star, they'd get it. I was forewarned the flooring dept was a disaster in getting product in and even more in installation. The arrival of the product I bought was a little over the promised window and I bought something they carry in the store to try and speed it up. The installers committed to yesterday, originally 8am-10am arrival. Then I got a call the day before, it was being moved to 10-12. They had assured me they were sending a 3 man crew to do the job in 1 day. They arrived after 10. Started arguing about the job at hand. For 1 hour they were on the phone to Hickory, when they could have been working. I heard the lead man, who they said didn't speak English, speaking perfect English, say it was too cold (Boone area) and there were too many staples in the carpet on the stairs. He didn't want to do a 2 day job. He started cutting out rectangles of carpet on the stairs, knowing they weren't going to do the job. I was on the phone back and forth 5+ times. The guys got in their van and drove off without saying a word. I called Service Pros of Hickory to speak to a supervisor and they hung up on me. Someone called from Lowe's to try and reschedule it for Saturday. (no one bothered to look at the rain forecast since their procedure is to cut it outside). They drove over an hour, had to load the pad and drive the hour to Lowe's to load the 1700 sq ft of carpet and drive to my house, so over 2 hours there. Stayed at my house doing nothing for more than an hour and had to reverse the carpet and pad unload trips and drive back to Hickory. Does anyone else see the irony of the time they could have been working? I'm going to Lowe's today for a refund and to return all products (many!) I've bought in the last few weeks for this house renovation. I won't darken their doors again. Do not do not do not buy flooring from this Boone location. It was a worse nightmare than the person who warned me experienced. No one ever said how can we make this right? I asked who was coming to replace the rectangles of carpet cut out of the stairs and got no call back. Now I have damages from Service Pros as well as no carpet for Thanksgiving company AND the open house next weekend as the house is being listed for sale. All materials already printed and we're going to have to scrap the listing. Beyond belief.
Folks are very friendly. Love Lowe's. Some expertise is lacking but most of my experiences I've gotten advise appropriate from Lowe's employees
I recently bought 80 bags of mulch at Lowe's in 4 trips. Back was bothering me so welcomed help. Carol in Lawn & garden came to my rescue, loading all these large bulky bags for me. Clearly a strong, fit woman but the really nice thing was she smiled throughout the entire process. What a lovely person and employee.
