Doctors are wonderful and listen to you and take their time with you. Staff is not so great. Especially when you are trying to get test results. I saw them six months ago to have some tests done and had to call several times for the doctor's assistant to tell me the results. The doctors promise that you will hear something from them but you don't. And then when you call the office the staff acts like you are bothering them. If don't want to give results over the phone at least send something in the mail. I received nothing in the mail from them. The most recent visit I was told that the test results would be back the next morning. Called twice and was finally told that the tests take two days and the person on the phone acted like I was bothering her. Really looking to find another healthcare provider. When you don't feel well you like to know what is wrong with you and not have an attitude from someone.

Great place to go if you want to die and be ripped off at the same time! This isn’t a nonprofit someone’s making a lot of money off of the pain and suffering of others why else would the charge almost a hundred dollars for a flu shot you could get for free elsewhere. Lack of communication between offices, poor office management. Obscene pricing due to being an illegal monopoly. If you need medical help go off the mountain

An unruly, disorganized joke of a healthcare facility.

I have seen Dr. Jerica Smith twice this year and she is just great! She's very kind and attentive, and always listens to all of my symptoms/opinions with concern and care. She has even been open to suggestions and requests that I've made, and always expresses a genuine desire to help me get well. The only downside I've noticed is that scheduling and getting medicines/treatments ordered takes a VERY long time at this office. (For example, we had to call repeatedly to inquire about an MRI appointment in October, and it took almost a month for them to finally schedule it.) Other than that, I have been very pleased with my interactions here.

Appalachian Regional Healthcare System has hurt folks in the high country in my opinion. They monopolize every doctors office in this area forcing them to sell out to Appalachian Regional Medical Associates and dictating how the doctors and staff operate their offices. And now the Cannon Memorial Hospital is going in the direction of mental health. They want to stabilize and fly everyone out. That is just unbelievably expensive and could routine a family financially.
