When you are in a small town, you always hope that a new arrival will bring some added value to the community - some service that does not already exist in abundance. Imagine the community disappointment of yet another grocery store. Publix advertising and strategy seems to be to go head to head with Harris Teeter across the street, a store that is well established and people like. Granted that any business has the right to muscle in on the grocery pie as that is how free trade works. Nevertheless, the new Publix brings nothing the people who live hear actually needed.
Enjoyed shopping at Publix. Great store with lots of helpful employees. Had a great lunch and love their bakery also. Very cordial people.
Very clean and comfortable environment. Large organic selection, easy-to-read signs and friendly layout and staff. Would recommend to consumers. Missing two stars for personal reasons.
Personally, I had no problems during my time there, and would gladly return.
I visited this market today, and, having been to several other Publix locations, I can say that the newly opened Boone branch is right up there with the rest of 'em. This store offers the same, quality shopping experience I've come to associate with the franchise: good service, a comfortable floorplan, a pleasing stock of products, including an above-average selection of organics and the like. Also, this particular store features a full-fledged supplement section, in the vein of Whole Foods, rather than a simple "pharmacy" with only cheap, questionable vitamins.
